This training is approximately six hours in length. The California Department of Education does not offer certificates of completion. However, local entities or organizations could authorize and verify an individual's completing the training through various methods.
In addition, the California Department of Education (CDE) made this Webcast available in Digital Video Disc (DVD) format in April 2007. The DVDs became available and made ready for distribution to:
- local education agencies,
- special education local plan area (SELPA) directors,
- county office of education,
- Parent Training and Information centers,
- Family Empowerment centers and
- Family Resource centers.
